Foundation Stämpfli

The opening of the Foundation Stämpfli in Sitges near
Barcelona in Catalonia, is scheduled for 2011.

The Contemporary Art Center,established with the support of the mayor of Sitges and the Generalitat of Catalonia, will host a collection formed by a selective choice from the work of Peter Stämpfli as well as works by over fifty artists from twenty different nationalities, belonging to his entourage.

The Foundation will present a significant body of art of the twentieth century, from the sixties to the present day.

On March 20, 2010, and for two months pending the opening after renovation of the Foundation buildings, the city of Sitges, will provide the edifici Miramar, situated near Fundacio Stampfli, which allows to show the collection as well as the project and architectural models of the Fundacio.

On this occasion, a catalog in four languages (Catalan,
French, Spanish, English) is published.
