Seven Problems of Elementary Geometry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since the mid-1950s, a new generation of artists \u2014 particularly Latin Americans \u2014 has sought to renew and deepen geometric abstraction, which Kandinski, Mondrian, Malevich, and others had explored during the first half of the 20th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The universe is comprehensible to human beings only through mathematical language and its application to geometry. The artists\u2019 aim is to find an identity between artistic laws and those of nature. Abstraction has a goal: \u201cthe expression of pure reality,\u201d understood as the suppression of any visible form, whether of objects or of any form of nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The absolute contrast with this aim is provided by the three black-and-white photographs located to the left of the entrance to the space.
